1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Cephra is operated by Fabian Bäßler, Jägerstraße 1, 97688 Bad Kissingen, Germany (“we”, “us”). These terms govern your use of the Cephra website and app (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them.
2. What Cephra is – and is not
Cephra measures proportions of your face from photos you provide and compares them with reference ranges. It also offers simulations, an informational plan, an AI analyst and AI personas. All results are estimates derived from photographs and models; they can be inaccurate.
Cephra is not a medical device and does not provide medical, surgical or psychological advice, diagnosis or treatment. Information about procedures is general and educational. Always consult a qualified professional before making any medical or cosmetic decision. Simulations are illustrations, not predictions of a real outcome.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
4. Your photos and content
Upload only photos of yourself, or of another adult who has expressly agreed. You keep all rights to your photos. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to process them solely to provide the Service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use your photos to train models and do not publish them.
You must not use the Service unlawfully, to harass or assess other people without their consent, or to interfere with its operation.
5. Free use and full access
A scan and part of the results are free. Full access (all measurements, pillars, simulation, plan, AI analyst and AI personas) requires a paid subscription. Prices are shown on the pricing page and include VAT where applicable.
6. Purchases through Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles payment, invoices, taxes, refunds and order inquiries. When you buy, your purchase contract is with Paddle.com Market Limited (or Paddle.com Inc. for buyers in the United States) under the Paddle Buyer Terms, and we then provide the Service to you.
7. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account page or the link in your receipt; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and access continues until then. We may change prices for future periods; we will tell you in advance and you can cancel before the new price applies.
8. Refunds and right of withdrawal
Refunds and your statutory right of withdrawal are described in our Refund Policy.
9. Access without an account
After purchase your browser is unlocked and you receive an access key to unlock other devices. Keep the key private; anyone with it can use your access. Many results are stored on your device; deleting browser data can remove them.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may improve or change features as long as the core of what you paid for remains available. Material changes to these terms will be announced in advance; if you do not agree, you can cancel.
11. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes proper performance possible and on which you may rely), limited to the damage typically foreseeable at the time of contract. Otherwise our liability is excluded.
12. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you habitually reside.
